COVID-19 - FSC BioLinks Course Cancellations

The FSC is continuing to follow the most up to date advice and guidance from the UK government regarding the COVID-19 situation. More information on what the FSC is doing can be found here

All 2020 FSC BioLinks courses have been cancelled

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to change the way we deliver our courses. We have been reviewing the feasibility for the FSC BioLinks courses for the remainder of 2020 and have unfortunately come to the conclusion that it makes most sense to cancel the remaining physical training courses and events that we had scheduled. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and we hope you all understand this is not a decision we have taken lightly.

One of the main deciding factors was that the majority of the remaining BioLinks events involve using microscopes. These courses tend to involve lots of unavoidable close-working as we pass around specimens, check identifications etc. so it is not feasible to run these courses safely and whilst maintaining social distancing. Plus, to ensure the FSC centres are COVID-secure, we're no longer able to host multiple courses/events at the centres at the same time, so we have had to cancel some courses for this reason. Please note that this relates to the FSC BioLinks courses only and not the other FSC Natural History courses. The FSC centres are reviewing all of the other courses and deciding if it is safe for them to go ahead or not.

We appreciate these cancellations are highly disappointing but the safety and wellbeing of our customers, tutors and staff is our top priority. In the meantime we'll continue to provide various online learning opportunities and keep you up to date with what's going on via our FSC BioLinks newsletters, website and social media channels.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience during this very challenging time. We look forward to welcoming you all back soon!
